  • “Shh!” Jihoon says, which just makes Mingyu laugh again as he flops down onto the carpet next to him.
  • “Do they teach you how to do that in library school?” he whispers, loudly, leaning conspiratorially towards Jihoon. Jihoon just rolls his eyes.
  • “Yeah, there’s a whole course on shush-ing,” he says, shoving a book onto his cart and crossing it off the list in his lap. Mingyu giggles. Honest-to-god giggles, like a happy baby. Jihoon suddenly feels very hot all over his body.

  • Almost forty years into the life of a vampire, and Jihoon still can’t figure out how to get the actual blood sucking part done. For the successful modern-age vampire, blood and sex go hand in hand, but it’s the whole “sex” bit that Jihoon's been having some trouble with. Luck seems to finally be in his corner when he meets a Mr. Tall, Dark, and Handsome in a club one night, but involving himself with Kim Mingyu feels like it might be more trouble than it's worth.

Taking Jihoon's cigarette, Mingyu takes a puff of it and lays down next to the shorter male to absorb the silence that was filling the room. "Did you hear me?" Jihoon repeats himself, "if we are caught together, the company would be facing the biggest scandal ever seen. We would go to court and if we lose, there is no more Lee Enterprises. It's gone-"
  • Mingyu connects their lips and wraps his arms around the smaller man to fill the void between them. Their kiss is deep yet soft, Mingyu's ways of kissing can leave anyone stunned for days. The way his soft lips press against Jihoon's are that like a puzzle, Mingyu is the piece that fits to finish the rest of the puzzle, Jihoon. The kiss breaks and Mingyu finds himself staring at a beautiful man in front of him. "I won't let that happen to us," he says and presses a soft kiss onto the older male's forehead "I'll protect us until the end."
• Hammered, Dense, and Hungover
  • Jihoon was grinning, his body flushed pink all the way down his neck. He was looking at Mingyu with the most open adoration Mingyu had ever seen on his face, and Mingyu had to grin back at him, laughing just a little. God, Jihoon was precious.
  • Jihoon gets actually, properly drunk, going through the entire spectrum of human emotion in roughly thirty minutes while Mingyu tries very hard just to put him to bed. Then Mingyu is left wondering if Jihoon actually meant some of the things that he said.
