When awareness holds on and embraces any outer object, It is in the hold of a demon. Machig Labdrön

While we are sitting in meditation, we are simply exploring humanity and all of creation in the form of ourselves. We can become the world’s greatest experts on anger, jealousy, and self-deprecation, as well as on joyfulness, clarity, and insight. Everything that human beings feel, we feel. We can become extremely wise and sensitive to all of humanity and the whole universe simply by knowing ourselves, just as we are. Pema Chödron

He who is not contented with what he has, would not be contented with what he would like to have.
Socrates
These days the world really needs people who are willing to let their hearts, their bodhicitta, ripen. There’s such widespread devastation and suffering: people are being run over by tanks or their houses are being blown up or soldiers are knocking on their doors in the middle of the night and taking them away and torturing them and killing their children and their loved ones. People are starving. It’s a hard time. We who are living in the lap of luxury with our pitiful little psychological problems have a tremendous responsibility to let our clarity and our heart, our warmth, and our ability ripen, to open up and let go, because it’s so contagious.
Pema Chödron
Imagining yourself to be the body, no wonder you have all these ailments. Imagining yourself to be the mind, no wonder you have all these worries. Knowing yourself to be consciousness, No wonder there is all this space and peace. Realising you are the unborn awareness, no wonder you are supremely happy. ~ Mooji
Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves like locked rooms and like books that are written in a very foreign tongue. Do not seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now.
Rainer Maria Rilke
"Books serve to show a man that those original thoughts of his aren’t very new after all." written by Abraham Lincoln
