jun 12 2019 + may '99 her story starts before she was even around to tell it, as it does with most people on this planet. her story starts with a question she only learns to ask later on in her years, namely: why can't parents just stay parents - instead of being people ? her story starts like a romance that trades hands, where two's company and four's a chore. and three's a family, no matter how long it takes to get there. the portrait was pretty, and then it got prettier - puzzle pieces falling apart to make something even better. her story starts with a father and a mother, and a wavering heart. then a mother, and another, and growing up. august '05 her story tells us all about talking so loud, their words don't even reach your ears anymore. her story tells us to just stand a little taller. dec 17 2018 ∞

jun 8 2019 + december '11 her story tells us to make your mistakes, and to repeat them; to regret absolutely nothing until it is too late. then, regret everything. february '17 her story starts again when someone's willing to tell it, as it does when you're on the right page. it isn't a crisis but it feels like one, arriving at midlife of the 21st century. she has never learnt to stop talking, unabashed as she pours her heart out although it sounds more like her soul. her recklessness is calculated, her slip-ups necessary, she's never as abrasive as she lets on. if anything, she's not abrasive enough. so if anyone asks, she'll let her drawings do the talking. her story starts again only when she's absolutely certain that there was somebody willing to listen. dec 17 2018 ∞
