takes the hardcore studying as an escape from reality/a way to get shit off his mind, it's what really allows him to keep so composed. the only two people that he can completely confide in and who truly understand what brody is feeling deep down are milo & dean

brody is naturally patient, which is kinda unbelievable how he can keep his cool with his friends, considering how unhinged they can be at times (w this i mean rex and westie)

when leon isn’t there to take shit out on westie for hating on milo for no reason, brody WILL do it himself : but w a little more kindness : he’s not scared, u can count on him. a very rational thinker

friends with westie because he believes that he needs a support system in some way. dean feels the same. brody and westie can also relate on losing a parent and he understands that the lashing out can be a result of said trauma

dean: considered the leader(dad)consensus of the group, he’s responsible, attentive, & street smart. went to school for 2 yrs to become a mechanic soo his job is repairing vehicles (while also keeping rex and westie from completely dying). played football all throughout highschool and """dabbled""" a bit in it at college for those two years (not rly dabble they let him play casually bc of his reputation he's a good addition to the team when they need srs help)

him and brody talk about the realest shit bc they mature like that. could talk for literal days together abt everything.

he allows the group to hang at his place but rex and westie pick a fight w each other every 5 minutes and they always spill shit on the floor so he has to have a special timeout corner for “little shits”. dunno how he manages but they’ll listen to him if he gets angry enough. like a babysitter. sometimes they have sleepovers it’s a safe haven ❤️

he’s too energetic for his own good and isn’t... disciplined. will gladly annoy the fuck out his friends for his own entertainment, however... most of the time... it’s to lift the mood. comedic relief tbh it’s needed in the heated moments. he’s very carefree and happy, honestly just living to have fun. when u mess w the wrong people not everything goes smoothly though

in conclusion he is not a good influence at all

doesn’t care if somebody hates him he’ll probably try flirting his way into their heart even though it never works and it results in there being more punches thrown but that’s his way of coping

he impulsively tried self bleaching his hair in the past but it was an utter failure. damaged and everything with the ugliest blonde streaks in his once healthy beautiful L’Oréal Paris worthy brown hair, but he likes the look for some odd reason so he maintains it (ironic) so it stays that way (bleaching in the same spots/cutting his own hair). ugh... thinks he’s destined to become a barber and it’s funny bc surprisingly enough he’s completely capable of cutting a clean fade but no one trusts him

bro is super explosive if you get on his nerves which isn’t hard to do at allll. to be his friend you need to know him like the back of your hand, and rex took on this grueling task and succeeded. somehow. which is interesting bc their personalities clash so much, in a way the only explanation is "(EXTREME) OPPOSITES ATTRACT". rex has got some thick skin which helps a lot in the long run

grew up in foster care. has been withholding all feelings of confusion and pent up anger. feels hopeless 90% of the time. cannot reciprocate genuiene affection. he's been starting to learn about unconditional love as CLEARLY he has not been the best to his friends yet they still stay by his side (...for now.)

westie has a lot of respect for brody and dean bc they're good students and did not ever judge or pressure him to say anything. clear boundaries were respected so it made him go a little easier on them with his temper. he catches himself before doing/saying anything completely uncivil. unfortunately not the case with other people but he'll get humbled soon enough
