born and raised by parents handed her pretty much everything in her life, she lived as a princess. it was until things went downhill with her parents' marriage. her father is a professor while her mother worked as a historian.

it was when she was a sophomore in middle school when she and her mother found out about her father's illegitimate family, tearing hers apart. after a series of legal battles about her custody and money settlements, her mother fortunately won over her and a large sum of money from her father. yeeun thought it was all over and she could finally live in peace with her mother but it only worsen as her mother soon became an alcoholic, having her neglected from the parental love she needed.

in the midst of the downfall, yeeun found herself comforted by the books surrounding her, thus the start of her love for history. with everything going on around her, she only found peace from reading those books, investing herself in the stories of the past.
