2024-11-26 (Tue)

• Challenge started! Way too early though since the game only "releases" in January next year.
• I got Kappa the Squirtle as my starter since Carol randomly picked the 2nd pokéball from Professor Ivy for me.
• Lard the Oddish got captured on Route 49.

2024-11-27 (Wed)

• Professor Ivy said that only prof. Samsom (prof. Oak's cousin) would be able to study the GS ball so I should I take it to him.
• Mostly grinding today.

2024-11-28 (Thu)

• After grinding for a bit more, I decided to take on Tracey! After defeating, I was rewarded with his Lapras (now nicknamed Pedalo) and HM03 Surf.
• Pelly the Wingull was captured on route 50. Kappa evolved into a Wartotle.
• I decided to camp right before the start of route 51.

2024-11-29 (Fri)

• I caught Elvis the Growlithe on route 51 and Toy the Pikachu on Tangelo Jungle.
• After crossing Tangelo Jungle, I met Cross, who wants to be the best trainer ever by beating the Orange Crew. I kicked his ass, of course.
• I camped on the Pokécenter in the beginning of route 52.

2024-11-30 (Sat)

• I destroyed everyone on route 52 before getting on Mikan Island. By the way: there is a hidden guy on this route that can teach Thunderpunch to your 'mons.
• I captured Princess the Cutiefly on route 52 and went back to Tangelo Jungle to capture a Pikachu to trade for Ariala the Clefairy on Mikan Island. I know trading is against the rules of Nuzlocke but I don't care :)
• Route 53 is blocked because some criminals wearing Team Rocket's disguises are causing trouble. An NPC also told me Team Rocket was disbanded last year after a kid destroyed them so that's ckncrrning.

2024-12-02 (Mon)

• Grinding at the beach...
• I should rename Toy the Pikachu when I have the change because I have already completed a game with one Raichu named "Toy".

2024-12-03 (Tue)

• I defeated Cissy, the water gym leader of the Orange Crew.

2024-12-04 (Wed)

• I headed to North Mandarin Island. It's home to the Name Rater, which means I was able to rename Toy (its name is Shibuya now). I decided to spend the night on an "AirBnB" (an empty house with a single TM on a table) there.

2024-12-09 (Mon)

• While exploring Mandarin North's underground, I discovered that Team Rocket is coming back! There, I caught Melvin the Grimer but it didn't really matter because Butch and Cassidy nearly wiped me out. Only Kappa and Ariala survived :(

• Grinding to level up my new team members.

2024-12-13 (Fri)

• I caught Octavio and Molang on routes 54 and 53 respectivally.
• I bought a Moon Stone on Sunburst Island's baazar to evolve Ariala into a Clefable.
• Even more grinding before proceding with the story.

2024-12-15 (Sun)

• I explored the Crystal Cave. There, I met Brock, the famous rock-type gym leader. After defeating him, he let me capture the crystal Onyx that resides in this cave. I have also captured Warlock the Magmar as my encounter.
• I captured Moby the Wailmer while traversing route 55. Something of note about this route is that there is a grandmother living alone in a house there. I wonder what's that for?
• After exploring route 55, I finally reached Pinkan Island. Every 'mon in this island is pink! And if your 'mons eat Pinkan berries, they also become pink. I decided to camp here for the day.
• I really need to grind my 'mons because everyone in this route so far has used 'mons over level 20.

2024-12-16 (Mon)

• I caught Cardinal the pink Pidgey on Pinkan Island. ngl I was expecting a bit more...
• While crossing route 56, I met Tracey again and he challenged me to a battle. After defeating him, he gave me an EXP ALL., which I promptly turned on because I am getting tired of grinding.
• I reached Fukuhara #4 but all I saw there was a cave entrance blocked by boulders which I can't break yet so I decided to continue my trip.
• Eventually, I reached Kinnow Island. There is plenty to do here so I will explore it later. Before stopping for the day, I got a skateboard.

2024-12-17 (Tue)

• Tuesday again? No problem ;)
• I explored all of Kinnow Island at night. In particular, I had a good time at Pia Carrot Café battling the waitresses.

2024-12-22 (Sun)

• After a busy week, I was finally able to get back to this challenge. Today's goal is to reach Mt Navel's island.
• While practicing on route 56, Princess perished away :( At least Pelly evolved into a Pelipper and became a lot more usable now.
• I caught Shy Guy the Sandshrew on unnamed island while going to Navel Island.
• I am now staying at an "AirBnB" on Navel Island so I can go through the gym challenge.

• Grinding... btw the goal is to reach level 30 on important 'mons now.

• I finally caught Witch the Jynx on Mount Navel!

Headcanons

• Timeline-wise, this is happening after Pokémon Ruby Nuzlocke but before gens 2 and 4... The story of the game seems to contribute to this idea as well.
• Should I take one mon from the previous challenge with me for this one? ...No because this is a GBC game and it's not possible to transfer mons between it and the GBA.
