- my new blue nail polish (i did buy one slightly darker than 'saltwater happy', but i love that name)
- buying 5 dvds for 10€ for a good cause (and among them 'the bank job' which i was looking for and a whole season of bbc series 'the white queen' still in original packaging!)
- things i'd like: for my packstation card to finally arrive so i can order tea & secondhand clothes from kleiderkreisel, possibly a sunhat; maybe a switch lite but only if it comes with the ease to actually spend money on cool games
- being invited to flee the heat to Hannne and Tobi's flat for a weekend! it'll be like a little staycation
- an actually cool breeze & rain & thunderstorms!
- the little jewel-coloured wrapping papers of ice confect
- an evening of telegram messages with Sonja
- the prospect of making Ella's chocolate chip cookies again at some point in autumn
- looking at the covers of Galbraiths's 'Troubled Blood' and Follett's 'The Evening and the Morning' and thinking of a story of rainy streets, a big clock, and time running out
- thinking about and carefully composing the choices for the September book in my Black Lives Matter reading group at work: Oyinkan Braithwaite, Yrsa Daley-Ward and Candice Carty-Williams, all their German translations published by Blumenbar, who make such pretty books
- cooking a good meal full of vegetables, zucchinis, artichokes, and fresh rosemary in my le creuset pot
- not being on instagram for a day and then seeing a lot of great pictures that resonate with me all in one go
- the upcoming 'Enola Holmes' Netflix film
