- learning about fermented tofu
- looking at the greengrocer's flowers (forget-me-nots, an advent bouquet, those beautiful vintage looking roses)
- realizing i can walk different paths and see other things after work
- my part of town smelling like chocolate croissants again one morning
- a frost-bitten landscape with a pastel-coloured sky in the morning (my nail polish matching the horizon)
- my colleague Susanne lending me some of her decorations for Christmas
- my own beautiful, imperfect real little christmas tree
- Melanie making me tea, Ellen bringing me vegan chocolate

- buying a beautiful golden breakfast bowl in the sale at John Lewis, all the Charbonnel & Walker truffles
- eggs florentine (with light lemony hollandaise), freshly baked welsh cakes, toasted crumpets
- discovering Ella Risbridger's cookbook on the shelves of Waterstones nearly 2 weeks early
- meeting Whitney Houston, the lovely and very friendly dog, in Cardiff’s board game café (which has only been open for 6 weeks!)
