- completing all my errands, celebrating my uni de-registration with a little guerilla art action in my (former) uni building, and buying flowers
- Helge Malchow, KiWi's publisher, called me 'self-confident'!
- an air-kiss from Heike, the KiWi reception desk lady
- the breathtakingly beautiful & incredibly cozy-looking covers of Jean-Luc Bannalec's English covers 'Death in Brittany' and 'Murder on Brittany Shores'
- i petted a wire-haired dachshund today and he was lovely and had those clever-looking eyebrows
- how the jewel-coloured wrappings of the chocolates matched the flowers on my new mug this morning
- being inspired by my really fashionable colleagues at the publishing house and Ella's tweets about wardrobe changes in spring
- a beautiful peach-cream coloured evening sky with rosy streaks, all those spring flowers that have just appeared, the screams of seagulls
- a forest fruit mousse mini-cake with a little bit of subtly sparkly food glitter from the French patisserie, my nail polish even matched the dusky pink mousse
- fancy cakes (macadamia cheese-cake & forest fruit mousse) and lemonade in the spring sunshine at the Rhine bank on the stone balustrade
- buying the two other new Origins teas
- seeing a young black man reading Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie's "Americanah" on the tram
- Essie's pretty 'On The Roadie' green nail polish
- seeing that young family walking on my street in the evening: the father was obviously so in love with the mother, held both the child's and the mother's hand, even swooped the woman up in his arms and carried her for a while and the child just walked alongside them like this was normal everyday life for him
- 3 work-related compliments on one day ("you are a treasure" for putting in the little red buttons into his document, showing my boss how to scan a document, and "and still with such a nonchalance! not as if she hadn't called that hotline 1.000 times today already")
- this expensive turquoise Peter Pan moleskine notebook with embossed letters in gold
- seeing 2 (!) lesbian couples and one woman with a beautiful pastel-lilac undercut in the supermarket
- spring sunsets. i know, they are so colourful because of air pollution and damaged ozone layers. but when we go down, we'll go down in glory
- the toddler in her pink leggings and tutu who fitted PERFECTLY in the little nook on the Beueler Rhine bank and as i complimented her (and her father) on it, she gleefully looked back at me
- petting a puppy late at night (and it was only because i missed the tram that i walked home and met him)
- Susanne from work slapping me lightly with an empty water bottle
