- their name represents the number of members (formerly) in the band. after member junhyuk left the band, they chose to stick with their name rather than change it.
- from oldest to youngest, the band consists of jae, sungjin, young k, wonpil and dowoon.
- their fanclub is named my day (because "day6 and fans are important to each other because they fill each other up each day") and was announced on june 7, 2017!
- you can partake in the fandom selca day on twitter with the hashtag #mydayselcaday on the 6th of each month.
- the band has a project called 'every day6' where they release a single with an mv and a b-side every month around the 6th for the entire year of 2017. in addition, they hold 2-3 day concerts every month.
- all of their songs are self-composed and everyone has played a part in contributing to the lyrics. members are all heavily involved in the arrangement and production of their songs and albums.
