• I liked Frank Cinatra classics as a kid
• I grew up listening to Modern Talking, Madonna, ABBA, Sting/ The Police, and George Michael at home.
• As I watched them often, I was massively affected by classics in Barbie films, i.e. Tchaikovsky, Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Respighi, and others.
• I adored trance like ATB as a kid, and liked EDM like Inna
• I liked Ne-yo and neo-soul in general as a kid.
• Coldplay was my first favourite band; I loved their first four albums as a teen and was appalled by Princess of China, which hurt my ears.
• First three Taylor Swift albums were my teen years. Similarly to Coldplay, Taylor's Red bewildered me. Not a fan in general.
• The Civil Wars; the harmonies and style! Was devastated artistically when they broke up the band for personal reasons.
• Would blast Radio X noughties UK garage at 17.
• I desperately pretended to love Lana Del Rey as an angsty 17-18-year-old; that didn't last.
• Became infatuated with Fleetwood Mac at uni, esp. Stevie Nicks (but not so much her independent stuff)
• Connected with Nirvana, Puddle of Mudd, Linkin Park, and The Cure, some Pixies at uni
• Tori Amos is my favourite artist; I started listening to her in my early 20s.
• Got into Tom Petty/ TP & the Heartbreakers
• India Arie
