- being part of the traditional japanese dragon while wearing my Ty-Quan-Do uniform for culture night in kindergarten
- Playing Wave Race on Nintendo 64 at Shadi's house
- playing football outside Greg's house... my alias was Jerry Sanders (a combination of my two favorite football players- Jerry Rice and Barry Sanders)
- Carrying my saxophone home for the weekend when it weighed as much as I did (actually that was the worst memory of elementary school)
- Recess!! We would play football and I would get picked toward the end because I was small, and then I always made them pay
- FIELD DAYS!!!
- Writing my book and then awarding my friend Toyan as the illustrator because he drew a tongue on my Komodo Dragon
- Playing Soccer and usually being the best on the field (or that is at least what my dad told me after the games)
- and then getting a Gatorade after the game
- Not having to worry about anything except having fun
- Cleaning out our cubbies and desks and making them look perfect
- First, finally getting a spacemaker (one of those plastic pencil boxes that was composed of two colors- one for the top half and another for the bottom). Second, getting a trapper keeper for all my stuff- Denver Broncos. I think I remember it being like $20.
- Sleepovers all the time
- Aunt Rita's spaghetti
- Birthday parties where I would get toys and non-money gifts
