- Flew into Fresno, rented a car (a green Prius, HUZZAH!), and went to see John in jail. Then went to Carla and Pete's to drop off Aunt Rhonda. Awkward, lots.

- Jeremy is living here with his girlfriend, Amanda, and their two kids, Sasha (2) and Dylan (1).

- Melissa and Will bought a house in the Ranchos. Beautifully decorated, of course, and amazing pool/backyard. Lilyana is 8ohmygod.

- Estranged grandparents. Saw Uncle Doug, Jessica, and Marina. Personality?

- 110 Riverside Ave; Carousel Motel
- Mom is sick. I've been walking around town, to the boardwalk, the beach, taking pictures. A bit lonely. Lots of cute beach people.

- second floor in a hotel with no elevator and no wi-fi
- Hearst's Castle is beautiful

- thought it would be a lot cooler than it actually was. found one neat shop, bought a cute necklace
- back to Fresno
- food poisoning eventually conquered my mother, myself, Melissa, Lilyana, Dylan, Sasha, and Jeremy. Everyone who ate a certain pizza the second night of the trip.
