- Sex and Breakfast (6/10) - like the structure and style, dislike the characters and the ideas pushed in this film.
- How to Train Your Dragon (8.5/10) - One of my favorite Disney and 3-dimensional animation movies ever.
- Easy A (7.25/10) - Well-written, crazy, funny.
- Shanghai Noon (5.5/10) - This movie rides a lot on the charm of its lead actors. On the better end of action movies for me.
- The Big Lebowski (8.9/10) - Coens do what they do best - people continually getting fucked. This had awesome style.
- Lost Boys: The Thirst (2.0/10) - I liked when they shot back to the 80's original -- it's like they're reminding the people that are frustrated with this movie to reminisce.
- Hanna (7.9/10) - Pretty, enjoyed the characters, and artsy enough to satisfy. Thinking about buying it when it comes out on DVD.
- The Lottery (6.5/10) - Fair to both sides, but demonizes unions -- which I don't agree with.
- Nursery University (7.5/10) - Really enjoyed this "white people problems" documentary.
- Spanish Fly (1.0/10) - Horrible. But funny in its horribleness.
- Room (2.5/10) - Reminded me a lot of "Inland Empire" - shot on digital video and writing seemed like an afterthought. Note that this is not "The Room", but simply "Room".
- Ghost Town (7.4/10) - I didn't entirely buy the main character's growth throughout the movie, but it was pleasant, witty and also had some great humor.
- My Best Friend's Wedding (6.8/10) - I liked this more than I should have. I am a sap.
- Please Give (7.7/10) - White people in New York Problems. But an interesting character study, a lot about guilt.
- Watching the Detectives (7.6/10) - Murphy and Liu are fantastic together in this movie. Very, very creative, and Liu plays the Manic Pixie Dream Girl spectacularly.
- Cashback (6.9/10) - A little dry, but it's got beautiful moments.
- Elephant (7.7/10) - Already have seen it, but worth another viewing. I like how Gus Van Sant says so much with so little.
- Four Weddings and A Funeral (5.3/10) - Cute British romantic comedy.
- Nightmare on Elm Street (Most Recent Remake) (3.0/10) - took the movie into a new place in certain regards, but was not scary at all, really. A horror movie for the PG13 set.
