a personal list of ways that I consciously save money.

  • USE HALF.COM! i'm so serious, you will save a whole lot of monies. i buy my textbooks there, as well as books for leisure. it even beats half price books...I'm just sayin.
  • clean out your closet. rediscovering an outfit is the best kind of shopping. plus, you can take items you won't wear anymore (be realistic...and strong!) to Plato's Closet or Buffalo Exchange to get some cash, and give what's left over to charity. you'll feel better in so many ways
  • i mean...in general, buy used. obviously i'm a fan of it. it's like super green. :P
  • eat in. learn to cook. it's fun times. when you eat out, drink water.
  • "free" is your new favorite. i mean, come on.
  • shop the sale racks. get creative. or, you know, don't shop.
  • conserve. only use what you need! (of food, shampoo, toothpaste, gas, etc)
  • obsess. seriously, i'm obsessed. in almost everything i do, i'm thinking about saving and conserving. saving time, money, energy, gas, etc...
  • take care. clean and care for your possessions. they'll last longer, therefore you won't have to spend money on buying anew. well, it might prolong it's life.
