Jinyoung loves the beach.
Okay, that’s a bit of an exaggeration. He likes the ocean, hates the sand, but loves how his ass looks in a wetsuit. He’s not mad that his parents have dragged him and his sisters off for a family vacation, he hadn’t been planning on taking summer classes anyway, but he wouldn’t have picked the beach as his first choice. Jinyoung had been annoyed when his sister had signed them up for a surfing lesson their first day there, furious at having to wake up at the crack of dawn for something he wasn’t terribly interested in. The lesson itself hadn’t been enough to lure him back out, but the broad-shouldered surfer with the too-wide smile laughing with the surf instructors had.
[Or; a sort of university summer fling au, where Jinyoung meets surf instructor Jaebum while on vacation.]

“Your boyfriend’s hot when he plays.” Jackson mumbles to him as he slips an arm behind Jinyoung, hand finding purchase on the edge of the wooden bartop, his fingers gripping the ribbed edge.
“He’s not my boyfriend.” Jinyoung replies instinctively and gives Jackson a routine jab to the ribs. “And that’s my line, by the way.” He adds as his eyes trail over to Mark, sat behind the drumkit with his face trained into a concentrated smirk, smashing every beat perfectly, hair positively dripping with sweat.
“Not my boyfriend either.”

Ever since he was young, all Park Jinyoung wanted was to be a star. The next thing he wants is to be in one of critically acclaimed cult director Im Jaebum's movies––he is everything Jinyoung wants in a director; subversive, visceral, unapologetically and openly gay. But with the critical acclaim comes a well-known coldness: Im Jaebum makes his dislike known and, despite Jinyoung's success with landing a role, it seems like he's not immune to the cold front. Jinyoung must decide: stick it out for a big break, or throw it away when Im Jaebum turns out to be too much to handle?
Or: one person must learn patience, the other, gentleness, and both people must learn what it means to compromise.

To this day, Jaebum questions his life choices. He pins most of the worst ones on his weakness for anything to do with Park Jinyoung.
For example, standing in a frigid little ice cream shop in a pink polo and board shorts, spooning out ice cream that he knows Jinyoung won't like, but doing it anyway just because he asked. Damn him.
