- debbie the goldfish
      
        - my first pet when i was five 
- she would nibble my finger and make me giggle 
- i insisted on feeding her by myself every day before school 
 
- jack the american pitbull terrier
      
        - the sweetest and dumbest boy 
- wouldn't even hurt a fly, literally 
- loved to jump and wiggle his butt 
- comforted me when i cried 
- favorite snack: hot cheetos and stolen pieces of cake 
- did not like cats 
- loved his bed 
- had a giant pittie head 
- got beat up one time and i saved him 
- got very sick with a vitamin k and blood clotting problem and had to be put down, he was six years old 
- passed away on july 1, 2014 
- i was holding his paw and he was looking me in the eye when he passed away 
 
- lilah the miniature terrier mix
      
        - a tiny baby 
- everyone called her a little ball of sunshine 
- the smartest and most mischievous dog i've ever met 
- loved to wake me up in the morning by chewing and tugging on my hair bun or ponytail, would also sometimes bite my nose or ears 
- loved to sleep between our feet under the blankets 
- loved to hide under the couch or bed when she knew she was in trouble 
- loved to rip up tissues and toilet paper and chew on q-tips under the bed (long after she passed, we moved the bed and found a stash) 
- loved to play with jack and make him chase her 
- loved to play what i called 'obstacle course' and also 'hide the treat' 
- lived only six months, but made a huge impact on our heart 
- passed away from a bad case of parvovirus, in my arms - i held her for hours before she died 
- she is buried at our first house and i planted daffodil bulbs over her, they still spring up every year

        - the sweetest 
- golden ball of fur 
- like to eat, got fat 
- was my friend 
 
- pete the miniature dachshund
      
        - was my moms dog 
- was my first experience with a puppy 
- he was black and tan and super smart 
- he let me snuggle him and push him around in my tiny shopping cart 
- he got very sick with parvovirus but made it through 
- he would run out the front door like an escape artist and i would run down the street after him barefoot 
 
- stanley the jack russell terrier
      
        - my first dog of my own 
- got him when i was twelve, named him after the main character in the mask, stanley ipkiss, who has a jack russell terrier 
- we adopted him from petsmart after three other foster families had returned him for being too hyper 
- we slept together, played together, and also took showers together 
- his favorite hobbies were: herding me around the yard like a cow by biting my ankles, burying every toy and bone we ever gave him, patrolling the yard perimeters, barking 
- i had a framed picture of him on my nightstand when i was little 
- liked to tear up used pads from the trashcan - would sneak walk out of the room to go get them 
- did not really like anyone but me and sometimes my mom 
- HATED all men, especially tall ones 
- hated loud popping noises, specifically popping gum and opening soda cans 
- we nicknamed him wild man because he didn't like to be inside 
- did not like other dogs, but tolerated and sometimes even liked jack 
- he lived to be fifteen years old and blind in both eyes 
- he is buried at our old home under the orange tree
