  • in the city! orchard is now an annex but wisma atria still smells like cookies. M wore a black shirt which reminded me of stolen afternoons in villa ikebana

  • took a cab so M could show me hawker chan for lunch (his favourite), his new workplace and we walked to a dentist nearby to buy wax, in the space of lunch hour. office buildings were vast and strangely cosmopolitan, for a suburb.
  • skyscraper, where M was inspired to climb out of his seat when he had to go to the loo (instead of walk out the aisle like a normal, non-dwayne-johnson-wannabe)

bangkok

  • old bangkok alleys are pungent and ripe. squatter homes lie open by dreamy tropical canals, single laned bridges. we cycled through it all at night and experienced immense heat headaches.
  • the sweet joy of returning to our room at arte hotel
  • taking our time with the chocolatines at hotel breakfasts
