The Gianos lay their eggs underground after wrecking the earth around them with their giant feet, which some have labelled terraforming. They die soon after laying their eggs, and the cycle begins anew hundreds of years later when the eggs hatch, causing the Gianos to sprout out of the ground fully grown and begin terraforming, before laying their own eggs and dying.
