- The smell when you first walk in the door
- The flowers on the glass inset on the front door (Grandma put them in when I was little)
- The creeky staircase I must have walked up a million times
- The front room full of books on history and gardening nobody ever reads
- The laundry shoot! (My family told me that was where Santa came down, because there was no fireplace. I must have looked up it every half hour, every Christmas eve. I still do from time to time.)
- The white toothbrush in the holder my Grandma kept for me for when I visited for probably 10 years.
- My Grandparents half waterbed/ half spring mattress bed.
- Noel and Bibbs
- My Grandmothers jewelry i used to put on and wear to coffee every afternoon.
- The guest room across the hall from their room. (There is NOWHERE I sleep more soundly)
- The shelf of teddy bears in the guest room
(I remember when the white bear with the hat was as big as me!)
- The entire closet filled with board games and puzzles
- The dining room (Where most of the family gather)
- Grandma's kitchen. Everything you could possibly imagine. Always.
