- Learned to Cross Country Ski :-)
- Written 1/2 of a Novel (well...almost)
- Learned to Quilt, Finished my first quilt (for Baby Ellen!)
- Fallen quite in love with my church: Madison Mennonite
- Been accepted to Seminary and offered a full-tuition scholarship!
- Moved to Tennessee (Kingston-right on the river!)
- Fallen in love with Snakes,...especially snakes that go by the names Sheera, Monty, He-Man, Cid, Dee, Scarlett and Wilbur. And an Opossum named Percy.
- Rescued stranded canoers, conquered my fear of heights (more or less...), planted some seeds and watched (most of them) grow, learned to pressure wash and identify the three types of lichen.
- Learned the fine art of the Tim-Tam Slam
- Finally saw the Smokey Mountains and actually finished reading Christy.
- Discovered the beauty of the Crested Dwarf Iris.
- Did my Desert Duty.
- Went Horseback Riding through the Mountains.
- Got a beautiful Mountain Dulcimer from a heartwarming shop and learned to play it.
- Spent a wonderful (and slightly hilarious) micro-vacation traversing the country with my Mother.
- Went camping at Ludington State Park in MI. Got up at 5:00 to watch the Sunrise...and it was well worth it!
- Had my life taken over by The Camper Database.
- Spent another Summer at Ray Bird: a Settling Summer for which I am Grateful.
- Went Kayaking on Mirror Lake and enjoyed a Picnic.
- Attempted to learn to Bake bread, with mixed results. (and As of late October: had some actual success!)
- Packed up all my things and moved....again! This time to Elkhart, to the most amazing MVS Unit Ever: Jubilee House.
- Been thoroughly blessed and enriched by the people and conversations surrounding Jubilee.
- In one day made: Zucchini Bread, Brownies, Pizza Dough, Amazing Pizza, Cheese (Mozzerella) and Cinnamon Roles. Mmmmmmm....
- Went to the Drive In!!!
- Began Seminary. Loved Seminary. Learned and Questioned.
- Fallen in love with the Neighborhood Rug-Rats, Savannah (7) and Antonia (8) being particularly adored and adoring.
- Began to attend a new Church: Prairie Street Mennonite (right next door...)
- Processed, Processed, and garnered an even greater list of things in my life that need to be processed: Autonomy, Sexuality, Remnants of Sexual Abuse, Children's Spirituality, Grace in the Church and in ourselves (and our relationships, and our house...), Marriage/Singleness, Parents/Mom...
- Gained a new appreciation for Jason Robert Brown Musicals (rekindled my love of Musicals, thanks to Maddie!)
- Watched a lot of "Freaks and Geeks".
- Enjoyed some rowdy and beautiful Community Meals. Pondered what it means to be a part of a Community and Neighborhood.
- Picked nearly 100 pounds of Apples (collectively!) at Kercher's Orchard. Mmmmm...
- Took a Road Trip to Canada: explored Toronto, saw Romero House, enjoyed Canadian Thanksgiving in the Bush and saw Nicole's family's beautiful Organic beef farm!
- Practiced French/Got re-inspired to learn French with Annie Yoder (and drank lots of lovely tea with her!)
- Began Spiritual Direction
- Went to a Dar Williams concert with my Dad in Madison!
- Participated in and witnessed a Beautiful Wedding/Marriage! (Josh and Julia!).
- Learned to Dance: to move, express and have a blast!
- Discovered Mary Oliver and awakened a new love of Poetry.
- Got involved with our Neighborhood Association and South Central Improvement Coalition Action Groups.
- Spent a wonderful Thanksgiving with the Bladels at the Beach House!
- Visioned and began building/participating in Stronger Children's Programs at PSMC.
- Auditioned for Michiana Monologues: got 2 Mons :-) Will be a great thing to begin 2011 with!
- Finished my first Semester of Seminary!!!!! Wrote a 15 page paper in 1 Day...oh boy!
- Travelled to Georgia with Mom for Anna Ruth's wedding, visits with Bianca and Jackson*** and Grandma and Grandpa. Began quilting Grandma and my quilt for Mom.
- Spent New Year's Eve at Camp Ray Bird for Reunion!!!--looking forward to another beautiful, fun and community-filled year!
