What did you do in 2009 that you’d never done before? ruined a summer

Did you keep your new years’ resolutions, and will you make more for next year? i never make new year's resolutions, because i usually figure out along the way what works, but those pretty leather notebooks at barnes and noble keep calling me. maybe i should try and fill one?

Did anyone close to you give birth? jamin and april!

Did anyone close to you die? one of my best friend's from highschool's father was murdered in iraq by a fellow soldier. i hadn't seen him in years, but i'll never forget him.

What countries did you visit? none this year, sadly.

What would you like to have in 2010 that you lacked in 2009? more road trips with friends

What dates from 2009 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? oh gosh, so many. i have a notebook filled with dates. many in the spring, a lot from the summer, and fall and winter.

What was your biggest achievement of the year? i didn't give up.

What was your biggest failure? note the first answer: i had a summer's worth of failures.

Did you suffer illness or injury? i squashed my finger under three boxes of clementine cuties tonight, so assume that happened a lot.

What was the best thing you bought? owl city tickets. what a good choice!

Whose behavior made you appalled and depressed? i won't go there.

Where did most of your money go? target.

What did you get really, really, really excited about? all my amazing musical experiences this year, and second chances.

What was the best book you read? i reread "Deathly Hollows" at the beach. so that counts, right?

What was your greatest musical discovery? i would have to say my top three bands i discovered this year would be gabe dixon band, owl city, and the decemberists.

What did you want and get? that crazy little thing.

What did you want and not get? pasadena tickets! blurg!

What was your favorite film of this year? HARRY FREAKING POTTER. also, slum dog and 500 days.

What did you do on your birthday? had the best birthday ever.

What one thing would have made your year immeasurably more satisfying? more traveling with friends.
