friday, 09/13

  • clinton st baking company ordered a spanish scramble and tequila sunrise. food was rly good and filling and the drink was Strong.
  • 9/11 memorial & museum ngl i was rly exhausted when we got there so i breezed through the entire museum.
  • the oculus absolutely love the architecture! the white makes it look even bigger and clean.
  • glossier flagship stopped by here out of pure curiosity and end up leaving with 2 purchases, boy brow in black and cloud paint in storm. the store was kinda underwhelming, probs b/c it was so damn crowded.
  • taiyaki ny got a taiyaki cone with matcha ice cream, chocolate syrup, and rainbow mochi. it was yummy but somisomi is better.
  • 230 fifth rooftop had to pay to get in but the money went towards 3 drink tickets so no complaints. got tequila sunrise every time lmao. rly liked the ambiance of the rooftop and there was so much seating.
  • prince street pizza first drunchie stop for the weekend and the hype was real. the pizza was fricken huge and delicious. would go again.

saturday, 09/14

  • upstairs got a chicken wrap with a side of fries (#balance). the restaurant was nice, the food was good, but the tables were so damn low.
  • coco fresh fruit and tea had a craving for milk tea and this hit the spot. ordered a jasmine milk tea, no changes.
  • grand central station pictures don't do this place justice. i didn't expect to be wow'd by it but i looove the ceiling art and openness.
  • times square went here bc it's a tourist must-see and tbh i hate it lol it's too packed and reminded me of sf. maybe see it once and never again?
  • line friends store this store is so damn cute.. i wanted to buy a bunch of things but i stopped myself. went here twice since i was unsure abt buying postcards the first time.
  • muji had to stop by here to stock up on pens. love!
  • blue bar went to the club downstairs and had a shared table with randos. music wasn't that bad and maybe if i was actually drunk i would have had a better time.

sunday, 09/15

  • xi'an famous foods ordered the spicy & tingly beef noodles in soup, shared lamb dumplings, and drank jasmine tea. SO GOOD. would defs come here again, even tho it's oily af lmao.
  • kung fu tea made a pit stop for milk tea and ordered the uze (taro green milk tea)
  • refinery rooftop my fav rooftop bar!! mostly b/c of the open space, ambiance, and music (throwbacks!) it was pretty crowded and we had to wait a while for a table but we got a perfect spot. ordered the baby doll (x2) and frose and shared the roasted spinach blue crab dip.
  • magic hour rooftop bar ordered this giant punch bowl or smth and it completely destroyed me bc it was so sweet. the decor was kinda cool and the view was nice.
  • monarch rooftop bar ok the yelp pictures made this look nicer.. but maybe it's bc we went during the night time. kinda disappointing and wouldn't come back again.
  • bleecker street pizza not sure why this place has 4 stars lol even tho i had the drunchies the pizza was just alright.

monday, 09/16

  • ippudo 5th avenue pretty short wait, thank god. ordered the karaka spicy kasane ramen and it was pretty good but too salty. yes, the ramen Slapped but i wouldn't wait longer than maybe 20 minutes.
  • the met only went around the met and sat on the steps to people watch but i alrdy fell in love!! it was a nice quiet (ish) escape from the busy streets of new york. can't wait to come back to check it out in the future.
  • central park wish i got to see more of it since it's Huge but it was nice, nonetheless!
  • los tacos got 2 tacos, marinated pork and steak. one of the best tacos i've ever had and the hot sauce was BOMB.
  • empire state building rly liked how they had a built-in exhibit featuring diff models, videos, and etc. made it much more interesting than if we were to just walk up to the top. the view was very nice but it was sooo crowded (expected).
  • the top at the standard nice view but drinks were overpriced (ofc).
  • shake shack got the chicken shack for a late night snack and wtf.. this trumps the original beef burgers.

tuesday, 09/17

  • statue of liberty took the ferry to see the statue of liberty! also grabbed lunch there and walked around the island.
  • sunday in brooklyn the server said the food was meant to be shared but.. we each got our own plate LMAO got the (spicy?) fried chicken sandwich and it was so good!! defs overpriced but still yummy. forgot what cocktail i ordered but it was good.

wednesday, 09/18

  • dudley's had the norwegian eggs and it was lowkey too salty but still good. the server was nice enough to make my mocha iced.
  • soft swerve last dessert stop! had the ube soft serve ice cream with fruit pebbles on a regular cone. SO MUCH ICE CREAM.. didn't even finish it but it was so good.
