friday, 12/14

  • friend's house one of my fav places for krn food and side dishes in sd. ordered the ddeokbokki (appz) and mandu ramen. i know, i paid for ramen but it was SO GOOD. the dumplings were perfect. i asked for extra spicy and it was indeed Extra Spicy. ddeokbokki tasted sweet but jessica said it was spicy (it wasn't).
  • sharetea (only went here bc kft was Packed) hokkaido milk tea w/o pearls, ofc. very sweet, just the way i like it, but sharetea drinks always kinda taste watered down..

saturday, 12/15

  • cody's la jolla breakfast with a view! traditional eggs benedict, did not disappoint. one of my go-to brunch locations in la jolla.
  • 'favorite color' mural nice walk from cody's, which was much needed bc carbs. this was literally right next to a martial arts studio but it was closed thank god. a girl passing by was laughing at me while i was awkward posing lol
  • bird rock coffee roasters ordered the cinnamon honey iced latte, which had just the right amount of sweetness. it's a cute place to study or hang out. would defs come here again.
  • ucsd ♡ it's always nice to come back here whenever i'm in town. they've added so many things to the library um i'm jealous..
  • la jolla playhouse ✰ first time watching a play here and it's legit. took advantage of the free photo area but hated all the pics.
  • menya ultra ramen restaurant that originated in jpn. there was a wait before it opened so we had to wait.. to wait in line.. thankfully there was a check-in system. ordered the tantan men and the minced pork was amazing. super yummy broth, but would Not wait for longer than 30 mins.
  • camellia rd tea bar ordered a jasmine milk tea, reg sweetness, no toppings. strong tea flavor. would rec to get less sweet for anyone who doesn't have a sweet tooth like me. extra points for playing ariana grande while i was there.
  • cafe hue mixed fruit nutella crepe w/ a scoop of cookies n creme ice cream. love going here for card games and crepes.
  • tahona bar got the carne asada, chicken tinga, and market fish tacos. they were all hella good but the chicken was my fav. shared the mezcal flight and she was STRONG. shots > sippin. loved the ambiance and our waiter was very knowledgeable.

sunday, 12/16

  • the mission cafe my absolute fav brunch place in sd but first time eating at this location. the one in north park remains superior. ordered my uze (chicken & apple sausage and eggs) with the mint mocha (seasonal).
  • spruce street suspension bridge stopped by for the view and experience. not much to say except there was plenty of parking lol thank god.
