  • When you come here, you don't get to REST. They wake you up out of your sleep 6-7 times a night for things like drawing blood, meds, vitals, checks, oyxgen, and random other things. Soooo....no rest. I get better sleep in a college dorm room.
  • They change nurses like every 7 hours. Which...i understand they have to go home too, but i have to RE-tell all of my symptoms and get to know a NEW person every 7 hours. This gets old when you're here for a week. Since I've been here I've had...... 9 different nurses, 10 different HCAs, 4 different Dr.s, 6 different respiratory therapists, etc etc etc.
  • When you ask for petroleum jelly to put on your raw ass (because you've been given lacitives and have wiped more than anyone should), they give you a TEENY TINY little sample of it. YOU try making that last. Yeah. no.
  • The pillows are like....styrofoam.
  • There's no clock in this room.
  • The housekeeping boy knows more about the workings of the hospital and Dr. whereabouts than the nurses.
  • The IV poles are SO hard to push because they have, count em: 6 wheels. Wheels that all go in different directions all the time. I think 3 sturdy wheels would be easier. Less to coordinate. When you're going to the bathroom every 3 minutes and have to tote that damn thing with you, it gets...troublesome.
  • The hospital server blocks facebook. What ELSE am I supposed to do in here since the flat screen TV only has like 10 channels that don't include Disney and Nickleodeon?
  • There's no where decent for a long term guest to sleep. :[ my poor mom.
  • Clear Liquid Diets. Enough said.
  • Anasthesiologists that are practically Mr. Magoo.
  • All the little do-dads they make you wear all the time. ie: gowns that don't have a back (and when your dad's in the room...c'mon), white tights to APPARENTLY stimulate circulation?, oxygen tubes at night, etc.
  • The Dr.s ask if you're sexually active when your unsuspecting father is in the room and you can't lie because its about your health. Let's just say Dad knows about me and Ian now... great.
