i always assumed manifestos were political in some way. the manifestos i had learned about prior to taking this class were all written by killers, like those who conducted and executed assassinations on political figures, so whenever I heard the word "manifesto" i thought it was a name for pieces of writing about a plan to kill someone by someone who was planning on killing someone. now i know it is just a piece of literacy that stands as a declaration of one's feelings on a matter, usually to point out the wrongs and injustices of these topics.
