I like whoever it is that chooses the colour the lights on the CN tower will be. There's thought in it! Here's some observations:

• Gold (for a whole week!) - the final week of the 2010 winter olympics
• Green - St. Patrick's Day
• Blue - in support of Jack Layton and prostate cancer
• Blue - for the Blue Jays home opener
• Green - Earth Day
• Purple and Gold - Victoria Day
• Red, White, Yellow and Blue - World Cup
• Rainbow - Toronto Pride
• Orange bulb with green antenna, black everywhere else (like a pumpkin!) - Halloween
• Blue and White - Leafs game
• Orange - to pay respects to Jack Layton after his death
