- carry cash and a credit card (split it up amongst the 2 of us)
- go to the ATM in the airport and take out a bunch of money instead of doing the exchange in Canada
- call ahead and reserve rooms in hostels
- buy tickets for events ahead of time (Anne Frank House, etc.)
- bring a notepad so you can write down numbers for venders
- make copies of passport, rail pass, etc.
