• i am defined by everything else that i've gone through. i am not defined by the status i was born into, not by the gender i was assigned, not by the things i had a past with and had started into. i am defined by what i am now, while the clock ticks and the pen in my hand clicks, while my mother smiles at me and assures me i am free to eat whatever i want, while my father's eyes are suppressed by the stress weighed on his head as he says, 'darling, do not give up just because you can't.'
