- God should be first and foremost.
- Trust should come after God.
- Sex should be saved until marriage (and I don't say that just because of moral/religious reasons; there is way more to it than that).
- It shouldn't be based upon looks, although you have to be attracted to them.
- They should make you laugh.
- They should make you smile.
- Only healthy jealousy. None of that "You can't hang out with them because they're the opposite sex" bull shit.
- They will make you cry and hurt like you never have before, but the difference between them and all of the others is that they'll still be there telling you that they love you and they're sorry.
- They should be supportive. One hundred percent.
- They should love you regardless of mistakes. By mistakes I mean even adultery. They should love you enough to know that you're either unhappy and to let you go, or enough to forgive you.
- They should love you enough to believe that you're more than sufficient for them and that there is no one else that can please them and make them as happy.
