Things I LOVE about Halloween

• the sweets. It is expected to eat too many sweets
• Hotel de Chocolat does the most amazing choclate molds in the shape of giant skulls or small cats and gravestones
• dressing up
• spending October amazed at all the crafty decoration tutorials
• coming up with funny creepy food ideas
• Halloween themed music. Last year when Adam was working at Shake Shed I made a Halloween CD to play in the shop and a much longer and non-kid-safe playlist for me
• knowing that soon after Halloween I can start thinking and planning Christmas presents and trips
• the scary and funny/scary movies which will be on TV non-stop
• cuddling with Adam during a really scary part of the movie (I get scared very easily)
• laughing at the slutty costumes most english women seem to wear
• making a pumpkin. After several years of forgetting about the pumpkin for weeks and then realizing it started decomposing on a shelf, we've decided to give carving a miss permanently. Plus, neither of us likes cooking pumpkin so it's a total waste.
