- dead person as ghost appears every now and then to comfort their best friend who is still getting over their death (and eventually does)
- writing in diaries
- talking on the phone to another friend but it doesnt help as much as their dead best friend
- listening to music
- music moods: pollyanna–i believe in you; sora mo toberu hazu–the spitz
- toby (the best friend) starts putting on their little sisters makeup one day while alone. dead friend compliments them and they just quietly thank them
