Book Shelving!!
- remove everything, what do you want to keep? what can your theme be?
- traditional: old world libraries, leather-bound, hardcover, remove bright paper jackets, grasscloth (imitation) on background, leave space for objects, stack 2-3 books as pedestal for objects
- shabby-chic: turn books backwards, creates cohesive look, layers of interest with organic or vintage objects
- polished-transitional: use black-edge binded books, neutral books, pick one color to work with, shiny accents, b&w photography (higher in back, lower in front)
- mid-century (mod): group books by color, look for items that match the colors, stack to make book ends & pedestals
