• Redfish – Bionerd2Point0 (M, 22k) Strapping the goggles and mask on, he gave the all-clear and hopped into the water. It was practically frothing with bubbles, and if the situation were less serious he might have made a joke about Finding Nemo and a bubble volcano, but as it stood he could barely see a thing and his anxiety was sky high. Studying mers for upwards of a decade had given him a healthy respect for how dangerous they were when humans threatened their territory, let alone when they were brooding with a grudge. He wanted what was best for Big Red, and he was absolutely certain that Red did not know that yet. He’d feel a lot better about all this if they could actually see the mer, but with how frothy the water was, Tim could barely see two feet in front of him. He had a desperate, fleeting hope that he wasn't about to be murdered, but the shifting shadows around him weren't very promising.

The chapters are pretty much what-if the Batfam found little Tim Drake early. • Sprinklers – SunnyBlue (T, 7k) Tim has a lot of hopes for his family, but more than anything, he hopes that they'll be okay without him. Because he's definitely about to die in this dingy warehouse in front of his little brother. He just hopes Damian knows that he cares.
• Bird Watchers – Miss_Choco_chips (T, 7k) It was something like an open secret in Gotham, that even though all it’s heroes were open to help no matter the situation, each one of them had a special affinity to certain matters. For example, children from all districts knew to yell for Nightwing if they found themselves lost and scared. Small business owners often painted little Oracle symbols on their doorsteps, to warn away possible thieves with the knowledge that Gotham’s cryptic hacker had their eye on them. Working girls would send a quick prayer to the Red Hood before seeing their seediest clients; and as such, knew who to call for if things took a turn for the worst. And Red Robin… well. His was a very specific bunch.

What he doesn’t expect is all five of his children reverted to the age of ten. Keeping them all safe is difficult, but he’s Batman, so he’ll handle it. (He lasts less than twenty-four hours before calling Barbara for help)
• Call to Rememberance – Raliena (T, 175k) Everything seems to be going right for the Bat Clan. Damian's settling down. Jason's slowly making his way back. Dick's comfortable back as Nightwing. Bruce is enjoying having his family around him again. But they forgot one person. And now that forgetfulness is being thrown back in their faces... BIG time.

Except that there's a black market for shifters and the way home is longer than he had thought possible.
• Well-Versed Replacement – sElkieNight60 (T, 96k) Everything in Tim Drake’s life seems to be falling apart; his best friends are dead, Bruce hasn’t spoken to him in nine months and the person most consistently checking on him is an ex-assassin with anger issues. On a wing and a prayer, the Bruce Wayne of an alternate dimension comes with hopes of spiriting Tim away. And things are bad enough that Tim might just let that happen. But even the best-laid plans of mice and men often go awry.

• Paint The Town Red – CasualGeek (T, 80k) Tim realized Gotham didn't need a Robin somewhere between the electrocution and the water boarding. It needed something that would be able to compete with all the worst crazies, and still come out on top. Someone even more insane than Joker and less morally bound than Batman. A protector willing to get as ugly as Gotham herself was ugly. Too bad Bruce didn't agree. Or Damian. Or Steph, or Cass, or any of his old so-called friends. He'd show them then. They could ban him from the masks and capes but he'd prove exactly why Gotham needed a Red Hood. He just has to figure out how to help this street kid out first.
• Extant – Kgraces (T, 77k) Tim Drake has slipped through the cracks. He loves his family, but the rift between them has him feeling like he doesn't have a place with them anymore. The Bats still have Red Robin when they ask for him, but Tim hasn't been needed or wanted in a long time. When Red Robin goes missing during a case, the Bats realize they might just be too late to get him back.

Big difference. Fine, so maybe they have some explaining to do. But dammit if they're not gonna do it the Bat way.
