- Arby's cashier - 1998-99. worst job ever, especially the pay. i didn't eat roast beef that entire year.
- Intern for Oakland County equalization department - summer 2001. basically all i did was scan hard copies of photographs and save them onto an computer database. it was boring! plus, my supervisor was insane.
- Research assistant for my Org. Studies professor - summer 2003. it was only 10 hours a week or so, not very exciting. but at least i got to work from home most of the time!
- Hotel clerk for Inn at the Michigan League - winter 2004. i actually took over this job for cindy who worked that fall semester. it was a fairly good job although getting up at 7am twice a week wasn't very fun. that was the only semester i got a 4.0 though, so maybe work makes you more responsible?
- Mai Kai Cleaners worker - summer 2004. probably the shortest job i'll ever have - it was only 7 weeks! I just needed some cash and couldn't find anything better for a while. The only thing I remember is that our boss liked listening to the smooth jazz radio station. it was horrible!
- Research Analyst at MORPACE, Inc. oct. 2004-july 2006. it's strange that i worked there for so long and now it seems kind of like a blur. it was good to learn about 'office culture,' how to manage my money, etc. plus i saved so much money by living at home... it enabled me to buy a new car at the end of those 2 years!
- Regional Administrator, InterVarsity - oct. 2006-aug. 2009. this job has taught me a lot about working with people, perseverance, problem solving, how to save money when buying food for a lot of people, and working hard w/o seeing direct results. it's been a very tough job in fact, even though i'm fairly proficient at it now. i am thankful that the time is almost up for me to leave this role, although also grateful for this time i've had to learn a lot
- Campus Staff for UofM CCF/AIV - oct. 2006-aug. 2009. i think this role has really caused me to question identity and calling... i've stumbled through trying a lot of things i didn't feel prepared to do, and somehow i survived. i've learned a lot about my passion for training and Bible study and grown to deeply care about the students even if i don't show it very well outwardly. i'll be very curious/anxious to see how God continues to work in these students when i leave, praying that He'll continue to hold them in His hands.
- Graphic Designer for InterVarsity/2100 - beginning sept. 2009! yes, folks, I have a new job. i'm so excited!!!! i'm moving to madison and working at InterVarsity's National office. so much change in store this year!
