- If it's yellow let it mellow, if it's brown flush it down.
- Always make coffee at home, or at least purchase coffee from small local business as opposed to Starbucks or Seattle' Best.
- Join the local food co-op and shop there whenever possible.
- Make my own kombucha rather than buying it at Whole Foods.
- Borrow books, check them out from the library or buy them from a used bookstore, but not Borders or Barnes & Noble!
- Make my own soap, shampoo and other hygenic products.
- For food try foraging around Portland, stealing, gleaning, etc.
- Use less deoderant, perfume and makeup.
- Practice recycling and composting.
- Take shorter showers and reuse my towels.
- Don't smoke too much weed--it's expensive.
- Delete my Facebook and use the internet less.
- Be aware of the things and people around me.
- Spend time with the people that I care about.
- Walk, ride my bike or use public transportation (for free!).
- Keep my life pared down to the essentials.
- Don't watch television.
- Read books by Camus.
- Read books by Dostoevsky.
- Read books by Henry Miller.
- Read books by Thoreau.
- Read books by Emerson.
- Read poems by Rimbaud.
- Continue asking questions.
