How to recuperate from a lame day, inspired by/stolen from here.
- Go out for a milshake.
- Write a letter to someone.
- Have a slumber party.
- Go to a yoga class.
- Wear a fake mustache all day.
- Get a big cup of tea, a box of Trader Joe's dark chocolate-covered almonds and read a really good book.
- Pick up some delicious takeout, either Indian or Thai.
- Read through my film textbooks and learn about movies!
- Take a long, hot bath and then lather myself in cocoa butter.
- Write down a list of things that I really appreciate.
- Go to your favorite store and buy some cool stuff ($20 limit).
- Indulge in a guilty pleasure (i.e. Oprah Magazine, Justin Timberlake, Ben & Jerry's heath bar crunch ice cream, Twilight books, etc.)
- Curl up in bed and watch one of my stand-by comfort movies (i.e. All That Heaven Allows, Annie Hall, Say Anything, The Lady Eve, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Lost in Translation, Reality Bites, etc.)
- Watch Stephen Colbert videos on YouTube.
- Treat yourself to a movie at the IFC theatre.
- Write a letter to yourself in the future.
- Eat animal crackers out of the box!
- Make a care package and send it to someone.
- Visit a church (at least for the aesthetic value).
- Color your hair some ridiculous shade.
- Listen to David Lynch's "Catching the Big Fish" audiobook.
- Listen to Beirut's "The Flying Club Cup" all the way through.
- Read some of The Tao Te Ching.
- Watch any of the following TV shows on Hulu/the Internet:
- The Simpsons
- The Colbert Report
- The Daily Show
- At the Movies
- Saturday Night Live
- Sex and the City
- 30 Rock
- The Office
- Nip/Tuck
- House
