List topic stolen from Emi. A lot of these dreams are those I remember having in the last few years, though many are more recent as well.
- Gabe, Adam, Ava and I are walking down the street and Mr. Halpern comes out of this building and tells us to come inside because the world's about to end. We go in and there's rows of desks with students in them and the walls are lined with shelves stacked with Jiffy Peanut Butter and other canned goods. We sit down and listen to him rant about the end of days.
- I'm sitting in the back seat of Mark's old red Jetta, driving North down Broadway with him and Mom. Just outside the 7/11 the car stops and Jet Li jumps on the hood of the car and stabs Mom and Mark through the windshield with a samurai sword. I hide on the floor of the back seat.
- I'm being held hostage by Michael Caine and Melanie Griffith in a hotel room. I escape and they chase me through a mall. I hide out by setting up a pet store with Lisa Kudrow and Faye Dunaway and assuming a fake identity. One day, outside the pet store, the three of us watch Keanu Reeves give a speech at a rally for breast cancer awareness.
- I'm in Bruce Wayne/Batman's house (the one from "Batman Forever") and Batman (Val Kilmer in this case) is carrying Nicole Kidman down the staircase away from the bad guys. When he sees me he drops her on her ass, picks me up and carries me down instead.
- Stephen Colbert dream #1: I walk into an enormous bathroom and Stephen Colbert is standing completely naked except for a pair of dress shoes and a party hat that says "Happy New Year." He props his foot up on the toilet to tie his shoe and says something to me.
- Stephen Colbert dream #2: I'm in Stephen Colbert's house in New Jersey playing tag and games with him, his wife and his kids (but one of his sons is a 25 year-old football player). We go outside and play in the snow. We're having a really good time, then something I can't remember happens involving Elliott Smith and intestines.
- Stephen Colbert dream #3: I walk into a grey room where Stephen Colbert, Bill O'Reilly and 1 or 2 other people are sitting and talking to each other very seriously. I sit down and say something and for some reason which I can't articulate, I know that Stephen is very mad at me.
- I wake up in the morning and my dad tells me that my mom has died. I'm really upset and start crying and my dad just stands there.
- I'm in a pitch black basement (except for an eerie blue light) which seems to be a meat locker. There's a man in there with me who has a chainsaw and a severely disfigured face. He's trying to kill me and chasing me around and taunting me. I get out of the basement and find myself in a forrest. Just then, Luke and Leia show up on those speeder bikes from "Return of the Jedi," with a bunch of Ewoks, to protect me (this is a recurring dream).
- I'm in a green house with the Spice Girls and I somehow get on the roof. The Spice Girls come up too and they push me off the top.
- I'm in a room decorated in all gold with lots of linens and pillows and blankets. Nicole Kidman - also dressed all in gold - is conducting a seance and I sit down and participate. In the dream I somehow know that she's my mother.
- I'm at my mom and Stephan's house and after Stephan says he doesn't want anything for dessert my mom keeps congratulating him on it. I open the freezer and it's filled with row after row of pints of Ben & Jerry's ice cream and Dove chocolate ice cream bars like a supermarket. I go to sleep and sleep really fitfully. In the morning I wake up and Mom tells me I'd been talking in my sleep about Paul Newman, Robert Redford and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" (in the dream not reality).
- I run into Ben Ficklin and Rachel Morimoto very late at night standing on this corner that seems like it's across the street from my apartment. They're back together and Rachel's about 7 months pregnant. We proceed to chat for awhile.
- I walk into the parking garage next to the Fox Tower and see Michael (this Fox Tower employee who I've had a major crush on for like 3 years) working on a car (???). We formally meet and start talking about Five Easy Pieces and this movie that definetely doesn't exist starring Catherine Zeta-Jones, Michael Douglas, and Sean Patrick Flannery.
- My mom is dating Hugh Grant and she comes down with some sort of cold or flu. She's recuperating in a semi-dingy hotel where Hugh Grant and I are looking after her. It's snowing outside so while my mom lays in bed, Hugh Grant and I run outside and have a jovial, giggle-filled snowball fight.
- I'm walking out of Safeway when I run into Hugh Laurie and Stephen Fry in the middle of a photo shoot on one of those coin-operated horses. They see me gawking at them so Hugh Laurie comes up and gives me a big hug. Then the two of them see a 25 year-old version of Mark across the street and run over to talk to him. (When I woke up after this I was very upset to find that I'd never really gotten to touch Hugh Laurie.)
- I get trapped in an underground cave under some large boulders, along with my guinea pig who can talk. Later, a doctor tells me I'm deaf and will need a cochlear implant.
- First of all I was for some reason hanging out at this big zombie/vampire party (taking place through out several unrecognizable spaces) with Will and Ella and a bunch of other random people. I think that Will and someone else were going around trying to kiss/bite people. Then, suddenly, I was back in Portland at the Fox Tower Theater - also with a bunch of people from NYU plus my dad. We were on the second floor and I suddenly saw Michael Nero and he came up to me and took me aside and asked me why I'd completely disappeared without ever saying anything. I explained that I'd gone off to college and he was really disappointed. He was even more disappointed when someone came up and started talking about how I'm majoring in cinema studies and like good music and good books, etc. (P.S. This was a really depressing dream.)
- Another Michael Nero dream: ugh. I was back in Portland again, and I think that I went to the Fox Tower to see a movie and ran into him. I somehow ended up not only confessing my super-love for him, but also that I was 18 years old and in college. This admission didn't phase him at all, and we started going out. Then I think I started living with him (?), but it slowly turned out that he was this huge, dominating asshole and that all my dreams were completely crushed. (I woke up feeling very unhappy and let down about all this.)
