I currently live in a red brick apartment building on the south park blocks in downtown Portland. This is the third separate time I've lived here (not including while I was in the womb) and I have trouble imagining any more perfect place to live. This is why:
- I've been just eight blocks away from school for the past four years.
- I'm two blocks away from the Farmer's Market.
- I'm a few blocks away from the Fox Tower Theatre.
- I'm a few blocks away from both the Keller Auditorium and the Schnitz.
- I can easily walk to Powell's and Whole Foods, and regularly do.
- Being able to listen to couples fighting on the street late at night.
- The low-maintenance aspect of a two-bedroom apartment.
- Sitting in the park/my front lawn on warm days reading.
- I actually know the name of, and am familiar with, the majority of my neighbors (and our walls are thin enough for us to spy on most of them).
