- Day 5 - A song that reminds you of someone: "Octopus' Garden" by The Beatles and "Carry On My Wayward Son" by Kansas. A silver dollar to whoever possesses the know-how necessary to solve such a confounding enigma as this!
- Day 6 - A song that reminds of you of somewhere:
- Day 7 - A song that reminds you of a certain event: "All That I Am" by Santana (ft. Michelle Branch & The Wreckers), followed of course by "My Man" by Santana (ft. Mary J. Blige & Big Boi).

- Day 10 - A song that makes you fall asleep: either "The Wolves (Act I and II)" by Bon Iver or "Guyumas Sonora" by Beirut.

- Day 13 - A song that is a guilty pleasure: "Circus" by Britney Spears.
- Day 14 - A song that no one would expect you to love: "You'll Think Of Me" by Keith Urban.

- Day 16 - A song that you used to love but now hate: "Honest" by The Long Winters.

- Day 20 - A song that you listen to when you’re angry: I don't think I've ever listened to a song with the specific intention of venting my anger, but if I did I imagine I'd listen to something like "Dead Souls" by Joy Division or "Waiting Room" by Fugazi.
- Day 21 - A song that you listen to when you’re happy: "Perfect Day" by Lou Reed.
- Day 22 - A song that you listen to when you’re sad: "Perfect Day" by Lou Reed.
- Day 23 - A song that you want to play at your wedding:
- Day 24 - A song that you want to play at your funeral: "Quicksand" by David Bowie, even if it does seem to be somewhat of a subtle act of cruelty towards my guests.
- Day 25 - A song that makes you laugh: "History" by Tenacious D.
- Day 26 - A song that you can play on an instrument: once upon a time I could play "Somewhere Over The Rainbow" on the piano by accident, but those days are now long gone.
- Day 27 - A song that you wish you could play: "Troubles Will Be Gone" or "Love Is All" by The Tallest Man On Earth, or really any song that requires such dexterity.

- Day 30 - Your favorite song at this time last year: probably something off of the "Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards" boxset by Tom Waits.
