- Read the Charlie Kaufman essay on Blackboard and then write a paragraph on any segment in which the author places Kaufman in "a specific, limited, surprising context," and what this contextualization helps Ulin to say
- Watch "The Five Objections," then write a paragraph explaining how the film helps you to understand both "Adaptation" and adaptation
- Read the Jan Svankmajer essay by Anthony Lane and prepare notes for Tuesday's discussion on the conditions Lane creates in the essay
