my recommendations/ones i really enjoyed

mononoke anime and the movie trilogy

• firstly, just by looking at the artstyle it’s one of the most unique and most beautiful i’ve ever seen. the storytelling is very chaotic and artistic though so you have to pay very good attention because it doesn’t tell you things straight up. it has a lot of symbolism. but that’s not why i enjoy the mononoke franchise so much, what i love about it is how good it is at portraying deep human emotions and problems. because this anime is about spirits growing from human grudges, the stories have a lot to do with the human nature. you’ll find that our “main character” the medicine seller isn’t the main focus in every episode though, it focuses on the different characters whose problems/those grudges belong to. which i love because it takes everything on a more personal level
