on life: none of us are going to make it out of here alive. ;)

as an atheist I find that I am so much more grateful for the small things. Being pretty certain that this is the only life I have and the only consciousness that I'll ever experience really puts every second of life into perspective

Basically, before their were paternity tests, the only way to be sure of child's paternit was for the mother to only have been with one man. I'm waaay oversimplifying this so you shouldn't definitely read the book.

      • don't agree with all of his philosophies (especially regarding women) but absolutely adore and respect his willingness to change his ideologies when faced with information that render them wrong. for example, his conversion to orthodox Islam after discovering how unorthodox the teachings of the Nation of Isalm were. Especially since he was such a big spokesperson for the NOI. I always try to live my life in the same pattern; holding strongly to my beliefs but not so strongly that reason and evidence will not convince me otherwise.
