i have a big pile of books in front of me, comprising of those that have been forced upon me to read, those i've chosen, or those with which i have no choice in the matter (my law books for next year). i'm going to endeavor to read all of them this summer, so here is my checklist:

CHOSEN BY ME:

  • lolita by vladimir nabokov
  • wicked: the life and times of the wicked witch of the west by gregory maguire
  • twilight by stephanie meyer (i figured seeing as everybody goes on about it so much, i should read it and form my own opinion. i didn't realise that it was actually written by somebody with the writing capabilites of a seven year old child)
  • he's just not that into you by greg behrendt (free with glamour magazine)
  • straw dogs by john gray
  • reread harry potter & the deathly hallows
  • the kite runner by khaled hosseini
  • tess of the d'urbervilles by thomas hardy

RECOMMENDED BY OTHERS:

  • the other hand by chris cleave
  • the intimate adventures of a london call girl by belle du jour
  • change of heart by jodi picoult
  • second glance by jodi picoult
  • seventeen minutes by jodi picoult
  • a place called here by cecilia ahern
  • secrets by freya north
  • chasing harry winston by lauren weisberger

(all of the above were recommended by the same person, and you may notice that they're all distinctly girly and not my type of book at all, but still more enjoyable than i'd given them credit for previously!)

  • duma key by stephen king
  • don't tell mummy by toni maguire
  • the island by victoria hislop

HAVE TO READ:

  • tort law by steele
  • nutcases- tort
  • nutshells- tort

(expect far more to be added here because i haven't yet received my reading list for law... groan)
