⚜️ Premise 🏹

Fu Shen is a war general of the Great Zhou, loved by the people and loyal to the realm. After a failed assassination attempt, Fu Shen becomes crippled in both legs and may never return to commanding troops. The emperor then sanctions a marriage between him and Yan Xiaohan, the lackey with a reputation for being unscrupulous, all to make sure that Fu Shen does not gain too much power. The arranged marriage between them becomes the bridge to improve their relationship as they navigate complex political games and conspiracies in the court.

Recommended if you like:

• *light* enemies to lovers (they really only have a misunderstanding and quickly get over it)
• domestic fluff! lots of it!
• married couples being sweet and communicating and taking care of each other
• court politics
• a fairly simple plot with mostly romance

Not recommended if you:

• want serious enemies to lovers
• don't like politics/infodump heavy stories

(side note that, while Fu Shen is a wheelchair user for most of the story, he does not stay in it the whole time as his situation is an injury rather than a permanent disability)
