  • Happy Martin Luther King Jr, Day! Today’s inspiration on my Kindness Calender is “teach someone to Dream.” I find this appropriate. Also, I was moved to tears today while rereading the I Have A Dream speech. Dream a little more today, will you? Change IS possible, although rarely overnight. And it takes each of us desiring to change ourselves a little in order to see global change all together.
  • speaking of, This morning, while waiting on my grande soy toffee nut six pump latte, I heard on NPR that there is discussion on whether or not to add the Polar Bear to the already frightening long list of endangered species. If added to the list, Polar Bears will be the first animals deemed endangered because of climate change. If it happens, it would be the first time a species was listed because of global warming. Zoologists say that the Arctic is warming, and the trends are showing acceleration in warming. With that warming they are seeing movements of warmer fresh water into the Arctic and continued reduction in the amount of ice that's available for polar bears to make a living on.
  • On Friday, I had forgotten to write down a list of my weekend goals. And I was a tad bit worried through out the weekend that I was forgetting something I suppose to try and complete. I just checked them….COMPLETED ALL FIVE! Hooray!
  • things that are funny: receiving lap dances from gay boys. I’m sorry. They just are. (I adore you both SO much. And regardless of me being a “professional” and needing to get up for work on a HOLIDAY, I enjoyed myself v. much last night.
  • And that goes for you too, Ms. Davis. I adore our conversation. Thank you for being such a wonderful friend. Honest. Sharing. And encouraging on so many levels. I cherish the friendship we’ve built in such a short amount of time, and I praise Jesus that we are continuing to build on this sisterhood. Thank you for not loving me “inspite of” but loving me BECAUSE of who I am. You inspire me. And I don’t idolize you ;)
  • i just started reading Jana's dad's book from lulu.com. and i teared up during the FORWARD from Jana, and again during a skim of a story near the end....this is going to be a tear jerker.
  • I am proud of the young woman I have watched you become, and continue to watch you grow into, Miss Holly Jade. I don’t need a title accompanying my name in any capacity to let you know how wonderful you are, and the potential you have. YOU have already begun to change the world. Don’t stop now. Crank crank crank. Vroom vroom. And such. Ha.
  • For some reason work is going VERY WELL today. I am on schedule with just about EVERYTHING I have on my desk, as well as have had time to be PRODUCTIVE on my personal MONDAY TO DO, and some random interneting. Has the “manic Monday” curse been broken. [this is probably due to the fact that no one else is at work today, so we can’t call any other office. Hahahaha. Productivity in the paperwork field, much?]
  • My driver’s license remains lost. I am going to definitely need it before the ninth of February. If I recall, it took 14+ days for me to get my last one. Lovely. I tried calling the bank today to see if they had it, and then I remembered. They are closed.
  • Today, I basically proposed to a gay boy after he posted a cute bulletin asking the Lord to deliver him of stupid people, Microsoft windows, and stage fright. While the bulletin was beyond cute, I think I have now planned to marry one more than one too many boys who prefer boys, and that I may need clinical help. Although, you yourself may suggest I need help for wanting to marry someone because of a witty myspace bulletin. It’s debatable.
