- Richard threatened my job today because he thinks I am still in youth ministry and that I called in yesterday because of the church. I reminded him that I no longer am in the ministry, nor do I really attend a church at all currently, and that I had told him this a few weeks ago over lunch. He replied that this is a serious job, and I need to not take so many days off or he will be replacing me. I wanted to remind him that I am permitted six paid days off a year, and so far, I have taken two and haven’t taken ANY unpaid days off and that if this was going to be a problem then maybe he should become a communist, or at least a Nazi….instead I just nodded and walked out of his office.
- I have a feeling he did not come to this conclusion about the ministry on his own. I have a feeling this was Gail’s idea. The thing about taking ANY days off of work, is that the following day is hell. Gail is bitchy, Richard is either grumpy with me, or extremely nice which just makes Gail more bitchy. But today, Andrea gave me a nerds rope- so that helped with the hell day.
- Today’s kindness calendar says “send a letter to a former teacher or mentor, acknowledging the impact they made on your life.” I am going to. You should too.
- Tomorrow Chelsea is coming over for some Quality Time =) I am VERY excited about this. I have absolutely NOTHING planned, but some good talk time.
- Tonight is max out night for our weight machine program. I am teaching Kelly what little I know about weight lifting and circuit training that I learned from LHS. Kelly is basically impressed at all the info I have taught her this far. I think it’s hilarious. Thanks to Reinwand, Schneider, Diana Karls, and mainly Alicia Lucy Ballweg Madigan for teaching me everything I know (which isn’t much).
- speaking of LHS and lifting weights, I miss Joe. Who is in Iowa. And runs fast.
- I am so excited for four thirty to get here. I am being productive at work today and all, but it’s going kind of slowly, and I am looking forward to time with my roomies, working out, reading a bit, and ….wait for it….ISAAC documentary from NetFLIX! HOORAY!
- Bridget and Andy are most likely moving to Atlanta!!! Atlanta is a WHOLE LOT CLOSER to me than Wisconsin…and Kyle will be moving there at some point….this means that I should probably get a vacation home in Atlanta soon- as I forsee many a long weekends in the good old ATL.
