Some things to do this summer. I'll be surprised if I manage to do most of them, but at least it gives me something to aim for!
- Read David Starkey’s “Henry VIII – Personality and Politics”
- Buy David Starkey’s new book about Henry VIII
- Read said book.
- Find out about production traineeships for radio/tv at the BBC
- Take theory test, and hopefully pass.
- Learn to drive.
- Brush up on foreign language skills: French, Russian etc
- Possibly tackle some kind of excitingly horrendous book like Ulysses/Crime and Punishment/ Anna Karenina (for the 7th time!)
- Re-read Dr Zhivago and A Handmaid’s Tale – reading them age 11and 8 respectively really didn’t aid my understanding of either book.
- SAVE SOME BLOODY MONEY FOR NEXT YEAR!
- Despite the above, buy the following:
- a white shirt - a decent pair of tight/going out jeans - a couple of cheap, but nice going out dresses - a bikini that actually fits!
- See the boyfriend as much as possible – a 12 week separation does not a good summer make.
- Do as much fun/ cheap/ free stuff with Rozi as possible. I’m talking bike rides in the park, post-work picnics and walks, going down to the river to feed the ducks, reading in a park somewhere together.
- Not get lost in Westfield every time I venture in there.
- See as many exhibitions as possible.
- Go to a Prom.
