This is a very underrated danmei and I barely see readers or talk of it. One of the unique aspects of this one is how human and vulnerable the MC Xu Rendong is. He's no prodigy or genius, but he has a revive/reset ability that helps him undo his mistakes in each stage and save his loved ones. While he and ML Lian Qiao are confirmed to not die, the suffering of MC with the burden of the reset and dying HORRIBLE deaths, and seeing ML die repeatedly too, is undeniable, and he starts losing his mental stability and becomes Kaneki Ken-esque. The gore is absolutely HORRIFIC and descriptive too (author has a lot of medical knowledge). The MC is also a puppy bf type but has a yandere side, so both characters will get a morally grey side as the story goes on. For some readers the plot can feel a bit repetitive but the unpredictability of the horrors makes up for it. Absolutely amazing angst and character development, I strongly recommend it. My only beef is the ending arc dragging too long.
