Just some things on my mind at 3 am regarding & mal.

  • I'll enjoy anything if there are cute characters. That's usually the reason I even start watching an anime.
  • Ecchi annoys me. Just seeing tiddies flop around on screen is annoying. A lot of characters just feel bogged down by their tits bouncing every time they breathe. Some ecchi is alright, I don't enjoy it but it doesn't ruin a show, but most anime just feels bogged down by half of its runtime being tits and ass and anime girls squealing about perverts.
  • I also get easily annoyed with romance anime. Watching two dumbasses skirt around their feelings for 12 20min long episodes is painful and I don't usually find the relationship or the characters visually interesting or charming enough to warrant the headache that comes from dealing with the cliche relationship drama.
  • Harem anime also falls pretty flat. With reverse harem anime I can at least enjoy the character designs and personalities even though I know the character I like never ends up with the MC but I've noticed that most harem anime just have the lamest characters. The designs are bland, and if the designs manage to be likeable then the personalities almost always fall flat. Both male and female MCs always suck ass too. Unlikeable, bland, most of the time I can't really see why most of their harem even has feelings for them in the first place. Male MCs are usually weak-willed with shit designs. Female MCs are spineless and let the male leads walk all over them while doing absolutely nothing. It's physically painful.
  • Really not enough monster boys. I swear every season has a monster girl centric show but I never see anything that revolves around monster boys. There will be series that include them but they're rarely the main focus. As in, we don't have shows like Monster Girl Doctor or Everyday with Monster Girls (or w/e its called). I don't enjoy those shows but maybe if they had cute monster boys in them they would've been more enjoyable.
  • I hate that most anime feel the need to force a relationship between the leads. Even if they have good chemistry, I'd really prefer if more anime just allowed the male & female leads to just be good friends. Romance really bogs things down, especially going through the early phases where the relationship is full of drama and misunderstandings.
  • Isekai anime/manga just aren't good :/ I typically find myself enjoying isekai with female leads more but even those are typically grating.
  • Sports anime are really enjoyable because I just don't have to deal with romance all too often. There is usually a little bit but at least when the cast is dominated by 1 sex the romance is easier to deal with because its more of a side plot that doesn't get as much attention.
